I know that costs for insurance can vary greatly from one provider to another and depending on the amount of coverage as well as the number of people covered.
Regardless I thought I'd start a poll to see how much people are paying for insurance just to see where the ball falls for most of us. |

| We have to get insurance on our own because we are self employed. Right now we are paying $237/month with a $5000 deductible. Before that it was just over $500/month. Switching companies gave us almost the exact same coverage for half the amount. If we were to switch back in a few months we would get the new customer discount again. If you don't have a pre-existing condition, switching companies can save a bundle. |

Holy cow, that sounds painful but I guess I'm going to have to start coughing the money up sometime soon. That's a pretty sizable amount of cash though, even at your lower rate. |
